Driver Requirements
- Minimum driver age: 21 years old
- A valid driving licence held for at least 1 year is required
- The licence must be presented at the time of vehicle collection
- International drivers must carry their national licence and, where applicable, an International Driving Permit (IDP)
- All drivers listed in the rental agreement must meet the above requirements
Insurance & Coverage
All rentals include comprehensive third-party liability insurance at no extra charge.

- Theft protection — included
Important: Insurance coverage does not apply in cases of negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving on unpaved roads or off-road terrain, or violation of Greek traffic laws.
Fuel Policy
Kavos Rentals operates on a same-level fuel policy. The vehicle will be delivered with a specific fuel level and must be returned at the same level.
- The fuel level at pickup will be recorded in the rental agreement
- No refund is given for fuel returned above the agreed level
- Any fuel shortfall upon return will be charged at local pump prices plus a refuelling fee
Mileage
Unlimited mileage is included in all rentals. Drive as much as you like — no hidden charges per kilometre.
Delivery & Collection
- Free delivery and collection anywhere on Zakynthos island — airport, port, hotel, or villa
- The exact pickup location and time must be specified at the time of booking
- Please ensure someone is available at the agreed time and location
- Kavos Rentals will contact you to confirm all delivery details after your booking request
Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation with at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled pickup time. No charges, no penalties.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup may be subject to a cancellation fee
- No-shows without prior notice will be considered a cancellation without refund entitlement
- To cancel, contact us via WhatsApp or email as early as possible
Vehicle Condition & Damage
- The vehicle will be inspected together with the renter at pickup — any pre-existing damage will be noted in writing
- The renter is responsible for any damage not covered by the insurance and not noted at pickup
- Vehicles must be returned in a reasonably clean condition
- Lost or damaged keys will be charged at replacement cost
24h Road Assistance
In the event of a breakdown or emergency during your rental, Kavos Rentals provides 24-hour roadside assistance. Contact us directly via the number provided in your rental agreement and we will respond as quickly as possible.
Payment
- No deposit or credit card required to confirm a booking
- Payment is made in cash at the time of vehicle collection
- The rental price confirmed at booking is the final price — no hidden fees
